Anaheim Ballet Nutcracker Performances 2017

PERFORMANCE DATES

The holiday season comes to life in Anaheim Ballet'sNutcracker, the heartwarming tale of Clara and her Nutcracker Doll who changes her woeful winter into a fanciful feast in Candyland. The Nutcracker ballet is a cornerstone of seasonal family entertainment and tradition. Anaheim Ballet's full-length Nutcracker with the Symphony Irvine is the production you and your family must see, a story presented with heart as only AB can present it, more than dance... Experience a spectacle of towering Christmas trees, waltzing flowers, battling toy soldiers and menacing mice. The enduring theme remains unchanged-good overcomes evil-but AB's staging of the family classic is constantly updated, which keeps the production fresh. Anaheim Ballet celebrates its 31st season of Nutcracker performances featuring staging and choreography by Sarma Lapenieks Rosenberg, Anaheim Ballet’s acclaimed artistic director.

MARTINI BALLET - Ballet served straight up…

MartiniBallet_.jpg

ANAHEIM BALLET presents
MARTINI BALLET
Ballet served straight up…

Martini Ballet is an intoxicating look at yesterday’s tiki bar retro lounge scene. This lively and heady work is contemporary ballet stirred and shaken into a 70’s bar scene. The retro-styled Martini Ballet portrays couples and individuals in a lounge setting, loosing their inhibitions in an attempt to reveal and share their authentic selves.

Multimedia presentations, classical works and repertory pieces round out the evening, featuring Sarma Lapenieks Rosenberg’s visionary Bellum, Pax et Spes (war, peace and hope). This timely work speaks to the opposing spiritual forces of good and evil and the transcendent power of hope.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2017   7:30 P.M.
